The Nursing Home Diaries: Entry One

It's been a while since I've posted anything to this blog because most of my work comes through Fashion's Sense. My current situation is rectifying that. I am currently in a nursing home and my situation is truly a case of being between sunshine and rain. I am going to use this blog as journal of sorts during this time.

A to Z Movies: Django Unchained

This is a late post for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge for "D" day. I had a hard time finding a "D" letter movie that I wanted to write about. I settled on Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" starring Jamie Foxx as Django.

A to Z Movies: Coming to America

For many black adults who came up in the 80s and 90s there are two movies that we know inside and out. One is "The Color Purple" and the other is "Coming to America". You will hear random references to these two movies in daily conversation, on TV, and in memes. For this post, I will give you some of the more quotable scenes from the movie.

Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo

I love old school hip-hop. I miss all those older movies that depict the golden age of the musical genre. I couldn't decide if I wanted to write about the "Breakin'" movies or "Beat Street". Even as I write I am tempted to switch back to "Beat Street". I am sticking with the "Breakin'" films.

A to Z Films: About a Boy (2002)

Today is for the letter "A" and I am going to talk about the movie, "About A Boy" starring Hugh Grant and Toni Collette. I really like this movie and still watch it quite often since I own the DVD. I think it is one of Hugh Grant's underrated films.

Blogging from A to Z Theme Reveal: Movie Time

I love the Blogging from A to Z challenge when it comes to this blog in particular. I spend so much time on Fashion's Sense content that I am tired and forget about this blog. This challenge allows me to focus on BSAR at least for 26 days giving it content to help build the blog up a bit. Since I had so much fun last year with the TV theme, I decided to stick within entertainment and do movies this year.
