I've heard many people say that you can fry anything and will taste good. Now I am not sure that I believe that statement to be true. However, you sure can fry a banana and make a tasty dish from it.
Really, there is nothing to frying a banana. You can do it two ways, with a coating/batter and without. I prefer to lightly fry bananas without a batter or coating. This method is very simple and quick.
1 Tbsp. butter
PreparationCut each banana in half, down the center. Cut in half in half. You should have 8 pieces of banana. Heat a skillet on medium heat. Add butter to skillet and melt it. Turn heat up to medium-high place bananas in skillet. Lightly fry on each side for about a minute. Serve with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top.
The last time I ate fried bananas, I prepared them by frying them longer for a bit of char because it subbed for my meat portion that night. I also served it with a salad, broccoli, and corn on the cob. It was a meatless Monday that night.
